We are delighted to invite you to a special exhibition by Francesca Arcidiaco entitled “A Journey into Japanese Art”, held at Espai C, Pollença, from September 1 to 28, 2025, following the success of last year. This exhibition explores the beauty of everyday life and nature through a vivid, impressionistic lens, echoing the humanist spirit of Dionís Bennàssar.

Exhibition details:

Open to the public: Monday 1 – Sunday 28 September 2025

Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 13:00 / 17:00 to 20:00.

Sunday 11:00 to 14:00

Venue: Espai C, Carrer de Sant Jordi 19, Pollença

Born in Sicily but a long time resident in the U.K. and spending part of the year in Pollença for the past 20 years, the artist has been trained in Japan in traditional painting techniques. Francesca’s luminous paintings—executed on silk and paper using traditional Japanese pigments—capture the beauty of daily life and our natural world, in dialogue with both Impressionist and Japanese aesthetics, echoing the humanist values of Dionís Bennàssar.

We are also very proud to highlight that Francesca’s work, “Hokusai’s Great Wave”, has been selected for the Royal Academy of Arts’ 2025 Summer Exhibition in London, an international recognition that enhances the significance of this show.
